Known for a tireless work ethic, and hands – on approach to Desktop Support, James Bell has worked in environments ranging from Financial, Banking, Government, Food Service and Medical. Positions of interest include PC Technician, Desktop Support, and User Support. Currently certified by CompTia for the Security+, Network+, and A+. Mr. Bell’s education with Computers began in Washington DC at a jobs training program started by Mr. Marion Barry and funded by the city called “Youth Pride”.
It was there at that program he learned about IBM 360 computers and JCL programming, Cobol Programming and Computer Operations. Mr. Bell’s next education with computing came when I went to New York City and pursued a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science at York College in Jamaica, NY.
James graduated in 1998 under the major “Information Systems Management” and from there moved to the Maryland DC area to pursue a career in Computer Information Technology. Mr Bell has acquired skills with Microsoft Outlook which includes setup and configuration, archiving mail, encryption with SMIME, PKI, Bit Locker, and File Vault for Macs, PST recovery, mapping network drives, and granting permissions in Active Directory. Mr Bell has also taken Network Security Courses related to his Network+ certification at Howard Community College in Columbia, MD.
